In addition to a dust and moisture resistant overall design, the outer surface of the front element features a fluorine coating that prevents adhesion of fingerprints, dust, water, oil, and other contaminants. The coating also makes it easy to wipe the lens surface clean.

As part of our Road to Zero initiative, over 22% of this product's total plastic weight consists of recycled plastic. At the component level, the proportion of recycled material reflects its performance needs: over 11% of the plastic in the lens barrel consists of recycled plastic, over 41% in the lens hood, and over 78% in the lens caps.
