No, you don’t have to be a My Sony member to purchase My Sony Care.

Yes, that’s correct. Purchases through other retailers are not eligible for My Sony Care.

My Sony Care is available across selected product ranges, including headphones, TVs, cameras and lenses. It excludes Sony gaming products: PlayStation, Pulse headsets, some Inzone products, speakers & home theatres. Please see link for current eligible products.

Please call our dedicated My Sony Care team on 1300 020 231 to book a service or repairs for your Sony product. Our technical team are on standby 6 days a week – 7am to 8pm Monday to Friday – and 7am to 6pm on Saturdays (AEST/AEDT).

Your plan begins on the invoiced date of the product – and ends on the final date of cover (2 years + 14 business days for My Sony Care headphone plans) and 3 years + 14 business days for other eligible products)

After completing your purchase, you’ll receive an order confirmation email. At the time your order is shipped, we’ll send an email confirming the start date of your My Sony Care Plan and include details of your Plan. Please keep this email as proof of purchase for any future service requests.

No, there are no extra fees for services and repairs of your product. However, for discounted services, such as 50% discount on cracked screen repairs, you’ll need to pay half the replacement cost as well as any labour or additional costs, unless you are entitled to have this covered under the Australian Consumer Law, Sony's Standard warranty or any other Sony warranty.

Sorry, the My Sony Care plan can’t be renewed once it expires.

No, the coverage provided by your My Sony Care Plan is in addition to Sony's standard warranty, any other Sony warranty, and your rights under Australian Consumer Law (ACL). It provides extra benefits and support beyond those standard protections. See My Benefits Checklist.

Yes, you can cancel your My Sony Care Plan at any time by calling Sony Support on 1300 020 231. If you cancel after your Plan has started, Sony will provide a pro rata refund based on the remaining period of your Plan, less any claims already made. If your product is refunded under Australian Consumer Law or Sony's standard warranty, your My Sony Care Plan will also be cancelled and refunded in full.

No, the plan doesn’t cover loss or theft. We recommend talking to your insurance company about home and contents cover.

Any loss as a result of: abuse, neglect, pre-existing conditions, rust, corrosion, theft, flood, wind, freezing and unusual atmospheric conditions, as well as any loss already covered under Sony's standard warranty, any other sony warranty or the Australian Consumer Law. Please refer to our terms and conditions.
