MySony 10% off single use Welcome Voucher promotion

 

The promoter is Sony Australia Limited, Level 7, 73 Miller Street, North Sydney NSW 2060 (Australian residents) and Sony New Zealand Limited, Level 1, 100 Ponsonby Road, Grey Lynn, Ponsonby 1011, New Zealand (New Zealand residents) (Sony).

Promotion

1.    Customers (“Customers”, “You”, “Your”) who:

(a)    create an account (at https://store.sony.com.au/ (Australia) or https://store.sony.co.nz/ (New Zealand residents) (“Account”) on or after 28 March 2024 to join the MySony benefits program (“Program”) in accordance with the MySony Terms;

(b)    choose to opt in to receiving news and offers from Sony when creating their Account; and

(c)    otherwise comply with these terms and conditions (“Promotion Terms”), 

will receive a 10% off single use welcome voucher (“Welcome Voucher”).

2.    Unless otherwise indicated, defined terms in these Promotion Terms have the same meaning given to them in the MySony Terms.

 

Eligibility for Welcome Voucher

3.    When creating Your Account, You must choose to opt in to receiving news and offers from Sony to be eligible for the Welcome Voucher.   You may opt out of these communications at any later time by following the “unsubscribe” link or “update preferences” at the bottom of these communications.  

4.    The Welcome Voucher is only for new Customers who create an Account in accordance with the MySony Terms on or after 28 March 2024.  If You have already created an account at https://store.sony.com.au (Australian residents) or https://store.sony.co.nz (New Zealand residents) prior to 28 March 2024 then You are not eligible to receive a Welcome Voucher under this promotion.   

5.    Employees of Sony are not entitled to participate in this promotion, and will not receive a Welcome Voucher when they create their Account.  

6.    If for any reason You do not create Your Account, or Sony refuses to allow You to participate in the Program in accordance with the MySony Terms, You will not receive a Welcome Voucher.  In addition, Sony may refuse to provide You with a Welcome Voucher (and/or invalidate a Welcome Voucher after it is issued but before it is used for a purchase) where:

(a)    You have engaged in, or Sony reasonably suspects based on available evidence that You have engaged in, fraudulent or illegal activity relating to the Welcome Voucher.  Any fraudulent or illegal activity may be subject to appropriate administrative and/or legal action by Sony, including providing Your personal information to law enforcement authorities where Sony is required to do so;

(b)    You have attempted to create more than one Account for the Program for the same person by, for example, using multiple email addresses; 

(c)    You have provided misleading information in connection with Your Account; or

(d)    it is reasonably necessary to protect Sony’s infrastructure, systems, data, security or assets and/or Your personal information.
 

Offer is subject to change or cancellation

7.    Sony reserves the right to change or cancel this promotion at its discretion without prior notice.

How the Welcome Voucher will be provided

8.    The Welcome Voucher will be provided in the form a 10% off, single use, limited time code.

9.    The Welcome Voucher will be sent to the email address that is registered with Your MySony account (known in the MySony Terms as your “Program Email)”).

Conditions that apply to using your Welcome Voucher.   

10.    Subject to clause 14, the Welcome Voucher is valid for one order with Sony for product(s) from:

(a)    Sony store online in Australia or New Zealand (https://store.sony.com.au (Australia) or https://store.sony.co.nz (New Zealand)) (“Sony Store Online”); or

(b)    from one of Sony’s stores located in Australia at Castle Hill, Chatswood or Parramatta (https://www.sony.com.au/microsite/sonystore) or New Zealand at Auckland or Christchurch (https://www.sony.co.nz/microsite/sonystore) (“Sony Stores”),

11.    The Welcome Voucher is valid until the end of the month of issue, unless You create Your Account on or after the 15th of the month, in which case it is valid for use until the end of the following month.

12.    The Welcome Voucher is not valid for use with any other offer from Sony other than the Benefits for being part of the Program (see the MySony Terms for the list of Benefits).

13.    The Welcome Voucher is not valid for purchases based on staff or partner pricing. 

14.    The Welcome Voucher may be used on any products available for purchase at Sony Store Online or Sony Stores, except for the Welcome Voucher excluded products, which are listed here.  The Welcome Voucher excluded products may be varied or updated from time to time by Sony during this promotion.  Check here prior to purchase for current and up to date list. 

15.    There is no limit on the number of products included in the order where the Welcome Voucher is used.

16.    There is no minimum purchase value for the products where the Welcome Voucher is used. 

17.    You must be logged into Your Account when You place Your order for the product(s) that You want to use the Welcome Voucher for.

18.    The 10% off will be applied to the current price of the products at time of purchase, at checkout, when You enter the limited time, unique single use code. The limited time, unique single use code cannot be added retrospectively to a completed order for a product.

19.    The Welcome Voucher cannot be redeemed against a prior purchase.

20.    The Welcome Voucher is not redeemable for cash.

21.    The Welcome Voucher is not transferable for use by anyone else.  
 

General

22.    Purchases made using the Welcome Voucher from Sony Store Online or Sony Stores will be subject to Sony’s Terms of Sale (Australia: https://store.sony.com.au/terms-and-conditions-of-sale.html; New Zealand: https://store.sony.co.nz/terms-and-conditions-of-sale.html). 

23.    If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of Sony, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, Sony reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law to disqualify any claimant, modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.

24.    Nothing in these Promotion Terms affects any rights You may have and which by law cannot be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law, contained in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Law Act 2010 (C’th) (Australian residents) or the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ) and Fair Trading Act 1986 (NZ) (New Zealand residents).

25.    If any part or all of any clause in these Promotion Terms is illegal, invalid or unenforceable then it will be read down to the extent necessary to ensure that it is not illegal, invalid or unenforceable, but if that is not possible, it will be severed from these Promotion Terms and the remaining provisions of these Promotion Terms will continue to have full force and effect.

26.    Sony collects personal information ("PI") in order to conduct this promotion.  Sony will use, collect, store and disclose PI as set out in its Privacy Policy (https://store.sony.com.au/privacy-policy.html (Australian residents) or https://store.sony.co.nz/privacy-policy.html). 

27.    Australian residents: These Promotion Terms are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia.  You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of NSW and the Commonwealth with respect to any action or other legal process with respect to any matter in connection with these Promotion Terms. New Zealand residents:  These Promotion Terms are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.  You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand with respect to any action or other legal process with respect to any matter in connection with these Promotion Terms.
