Little Pocket Rocket
I have this Camera for last two years and I purchased this camera specifically for the features and 30X zoom it come with.
I want to tell you why I like it so much please read below for some features I like.
1. 30X Zoom and plenty of features..
Yes this small camera have 30X optical Zoom when you look at it you would not realized its power. Its easy to put this camera on bag and don't worry about what you are shooting. As with the impressive zoom all things come closer to you.
It also have dial with 10 Modes to choose from so it’s perfect camera for beginner to advance user and it cover’s from Fully Auto to Manual Mode and everything thing in-between including panorama mode. Not to forget dedicated 1080P movie mode button for quick video shooting.
2. Wireless Function and GPS
Yes it has inbuilt Wireless function so you can wirelessly transfer photos from camera to your laptop or watching it on DNLA supported TV’s wirelessly.
Once setup it works so easily that I feel like I am changing TV channel using my remote while watching pictures on my TV. It also have GPS function which geo tag your pictures so your photos automatically tag where ever you go around the world.
3. Remote shooting using smartphone app
Yes you guessed it you can using any smartphone and installed dedicated Sony app then you can remotely shoot pictures using this app. It very useful when I go hiking and take slow shutter pictures using tripod.
4. Construction and Battery life
Apart from above features one thing I will give 5 star to this camera is for its impressive battery life. I have used camera’s in past and I would get barely half-day battery life. When I use this camera I could easily go 2/3 days with full battery. It also constructed quite well and it easily fit in one had with nice firm grip.
What could be improved with this camera ?
Even thought the screen at the back is great I would prefer Sony introduced touch screen for next version and it would be so easy to navigate through features if it was touch screen. As I feel the small dial to go through menus sometime can be time consuming. When you want to change setting on the go.
What I don’t like in the camera ?
As I said above the small dial at the back to go through menu is sometime tricky.
It does not let me use the full potential of this camera on the go if I am in rush.
This camera live up to my expectations with many features to use with impressive zoom you can’t ask for any more.
That’s why I call it my little pocket rocket

Exactly what I wanted!
This is one of my favourite purchases in while! It may not be up to the photo taking standards of your $1000+ DSLR's or the R series but I bought this with a specific goal in mind.
I was on safari using my Xperia Z1 camera when I decided I'd never travel without a standalone camera again, but it had to be something with a tonne of zoom that could potentially still fit in my pocket or a small pouch.
This camera is the PERFECT travel companion. The battery life has not let me down and the picture quality is awesome. I feel like i got loads more than I paid for in this one. Just wait till you see the zoom on such a small device. Very impressed, very satisfied. Can't really fault this one at it's price point.

Impressive pocket-sized super-zoom camera
I love taking photos and I carry my Sony HX60V with me all the time. I own a DSLR as well but it is much more convenient to carry this camera around. The HX60V is not just any ordinary compact camera. With a super 30X optical zoom range, this small and light camera produces sharp photos and movies with incredible details. Also, I feel that I can bring my subject from a distant to closer than I expect with the amazing 60X digital zoom.
The HX60V is very easy to use. I love its nice solid feel and comfortable grip. It is ideal for travel. I found that I could use the HX60V pretty much the whole day without getting too concern about low battery levels. I can get reliable and sharp shots with its stabilisation technology.
I love to use the HX60V panorama mode which produces really stunning high quality panoramas. I rely on the Intelligent auto mode a lot. The HX60V features a built-in wifi receiver that allows transfer of photos and videos wirelessly to computer or phone. I also love using my phone to remotely control the camera.
On the whole, the Sony HX60V is an enjoyable camera which captures nice, vibrant colours pictures. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone.

small enough so leaving it at home isn't an option
I love taking pictures and did not want to compromise on image quality. However, I also did not want the burden of lugging around a big SLR, which people usually think is required to achieve those high quality shots. This camera accomplishes what seems like an impossible task. Firstly, the fine details it captures in my images are amazing and the photos can be enlarged with no detriment to the quality. I have some real beauties hanging on my wall! Secondly, the zoom lens is like no other compact camera I have ever owned. I normally expect that if I want to use the full range of the zoom lens for small objects far in the distance, I had better steady my hand on something or use a tripod, otherwise I'm definitely getting a blurry shot. I've missed winning shots time and time again because of this and was so over it! I love taking pictures of wildlife, and at full zoom, this Sony camera has it going on! I can take incredible shots of birds far up in the trees with rapid focusing accuracy and amazing image stabilization. Even shots of birds in flight are a breeze with this camera. My photos look so professional and I can't believe what I've been missing out on all these years!! Last major feature that sold it for me was its compact nature. I can't believe that a camera this powerful still fits in my pocket. Because it is so light and doesn't weigh me down, I have no reason to leave it at home and so it comes with me EVERYWHERE: it is the perfect travel companion! There are even bonus features, like the app which allows you to use your phone as an external remote. So cool for group pictures; gone are the days of pressing the timer and running for your life to get in the shot! There is just so much to talk about, but overall this camera is great - I couldn't be happier with my purchase and I recommend it to so many people. If the key factors of size, image quality and zoom are important to you, then look no further than this camera!

Excellent travel camera
This is my go to camera when I go travelling. This is a great camera that has all the bells and whistles without the bulk. I have a DSLR and have dumped that in favour of this as it's much easier to carry. It takes great low light pictures with it's new improved sensor. The built-in wifi makes it easy to transfer photos to my phone to upload a quality photo onto Facebook. I also use the wifi sometimes to remotely control the camera to take photos of insects in close up situations.
I tend to use this camera in 'P' mode as I have a bit more control over the shots. If I get other people to take a photo for me, I set it to the intelligent mode as it works out the best mode to take the photo.

Minor hickups but pretty good otherwise
To start out on a good note the camera takes pretty good photos in "lower light conditions". In actual low light don't expect much though (without using the flash of course), and while there is a light compensation dial, I was using it at the "0" setting - neither +/- so there should be improvement to my own experiences once I'm familiar with this.
Beside the buttons getting in the way while shooting there are some other issues with the camera which made me consider exchanging it. The first is that there is quite a delay between taking shots. This could be reduced with use of the settings of how long/whether the previous photo is illustrated on the screen. The next is that during this down time of processing the photo just taken, if you use the zoom rocker switch, the menu opens photos in your library - further delaying your next shot.
So far these are my main qualms. Another idiosyncrasy of this camera compared with other digital cameras I've owned is the lack of separation between the optical zoom and the digital zoom. While zooming in with this camera, the lens will continuously zoom in to the 60x range without that pause/request for another depression of the zoom in button. This might appeal in some ways but if you want to limit yourself to optical zoom/30x zoom then you'll have to pay attention to the screen while zooming in which can be annoying since you're also tying to keep your subject framed and that can be difficult at longer distances.
